Profound is the category benchmark in the United States, and the data confirms it from the outside: it shows up in 185 of the 640 daily runs we use to measure questions that name no brand at all, with an average position of 4.1. When someone asks a model about AI visibility platforms, Profound is in the conversation.

When to hire Profound instead of us. If you operate in English, in the United States, and you need engine coverage beyond the big five — Grok, DeepSeek, Copilot — Profound Enterprise goes up to nine and we don't. If your budget is $99 and tracking ChatGPT is enough for you, their Starter is cheaper than our Pro; the detail to watch is that the plan runs against a single engine, so it's 50 answers a month.
Where we're better. Monitoring in Spanish and Portuguese with the right market context: an answer about “isapres” or “real estate brokerages in Chile” needs the local category understood, not translated. Plus the administrative side, which sounds minor until accounting asks for it: we invoice in Chilean pesos with VAT.
Is Profound more expensive than SearchBrand? Their entry plan is cheaper ($99 vs. $247) and so is their mid plan ($399 vs. $497), but each tier covers fewer engines. Compared per model answer, the gap narrows.
Can you use both? Yes, and some teams do exactly that: Profound for the English-speaking market and SearchBrand for Latin America. There's no technical conflict.
